{"id":2148,"date":"2023-12-07T21:42:54","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T18:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coagri.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2148"},"modified":"2023-12-07T21:50:47","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T18:50:47","slug":"defending-a-masters-thesis-at-the-college-of-agricultural-engineering-sciences-on-the-topic-of-melon-cultivation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coagri.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2148","title":{"rendered":"Defending a Master&#8217;s Thesis at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences on the Topic of Melon Cultivation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"flex flex-grow flex-col max-w-full\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex flex-col items-start gap-3 whitespace-pre-wrap break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"5015487f-8e1c-4d90-a691-ef292c14d7fd\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans; font-size: 16px;\">A defence took place at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, for the Master&#8217;s thesis entitled &#8220;Evaluation of the Efficacy of Some Environmentally Friendly Materials in Controlling <em>Fusarium sp<\/em> Fungus on Melon Plants (<em>Cucumis melo L.<\/em>)&#8221; by student Ber Amer Sadiq from the Plant Protection Department.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans; font-size: 16px;\">The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the bio-control fungus <em>T. harzianum<\/em> and some essential mineral nutrients and plant growth stimulants in combating and improving plant growth against <em>Fusarium sp<\/em>. The researcher recommended the use of a mixture consisting of the biological resistance FeSo4+CaSiO3+<em>T. harzianum<\/em> in treating melon seeds or soil during cultivation to reduce the damage caused by damping-off diseases. Additionally, conducting a real-time analysis was suggested to detect changes occurring in nitrogenous bases and precisely determine their location for identifying the gene or genes responsible for and involved in the pathogenic of <em>Fusarium solani F<\/em>.
