We are thrilled to announce that the University of Baghdad has secured the first position locally and an impressive 21st position regionally in the prestigious Arab Ranking for Universities (ARU) for the year 2023. This remarkable achievement was unveiled today in the inaugural edition of the Arab University Rankings, a collaborative effort by the Arab Universities Union, the Arab League, the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO), and the Arab Councils of Scientific Research Federation.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Out of 115 Arab universities meeting the rigorous ranking criteria, the University of Baghdad has emerged as a pioneer, reflecting its commitment to excellence in higher education and scientific research. Al-Mustansiriya University, Al-Mustaqbal University, and Anbar University also earned commendable positions, ranking 36th, 42nd, and 50th, respectively.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The ARU aims to elevate the standards of higher education and scientific research, positioning Arab universities as leaders in regional and global development. This initiative strives to propel Arab universities into the third and fourth generations globally, establishing an international ranking with modern standards that align with the unique requirements of Arab nations and complementing other international university rankings.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our success in this ranking underscores our commitment to accuracy and objectivity, as various indicators and criteria were meticulously evaluated. These include the quality of education, faculty excellence, and other factors crucial to the comprehensive tasks of the university. This achievement propels us forward, inspiring further reform, improvement, scientific research, creativity, innovation, and economic application.<\/span><\/h3>\n

We are particularly proud of our role as a driving force behind the knowledge economy, encouraging research that fosters creativity, development, and innovation within our university. This recognition also emphasizes our commitment to international and local cooperation in the Arab region, along with our dedication to community service.<\/span><\/h3>\n

It’s noteworthy that a total of 208 universities applied for evaluation, with 115 universities representing 16 out of 22 Arab League countries included in this prestigious ranking.<\/span><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
