To achieve the goals of sustainable development in quality education, the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized, as part of the activities of the Plant Protection Department during its cultural season, a seminar conducted by the master’s student Alaa Emad Mahmoud, titled “The Effectiveness of Tannic Acid and Melatonin in Controlling Blue Mold Disease on Apple Fruits after Harvest.”<\/span><\/h3>\n

The seminar was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Neeran Salem Ahmed, the head of the postgraduate studies department in the Plant Protection Department, and chaired by Prof. Radi Fadel Al-Jassani, with the attendance of the department’s assistant professor, Dr. Bushra Sabir Abdul Sada. During the seminar, the student presented the study’s objectives, which included:<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Verifying the effectiveness of tannic acid and melatonin as post-harvest treatments as alternatives to environmentally harmful chemical pesticides for controlling blue mold disease on apple fruits after harvest, in line with the goals of sustainable development.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The seminar included scientific discussions attended by several faculty members from the department and postgraduate students. We wish the student success and excellence in her academic journey.<\/span><\/h3>\n
