In order to achieve the goals of sustainable development in quality education, the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences \/ University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop titled “Common Mistakes in Writing Master’s and Doctoral Theses”. The workshop was attended by the Head of the Department of Animal Production, several faculty members, and postgraduate students. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Riad Hamad Sankal.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop aimed to:<\/span><\/h3>\n

– Draw the attention of postgraduate students to the most common mistakes they usually make when writing their research.<\/span>
\n– Provide practical guidance to avoid these mistakes and improve the quality of their research.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop addressed some common examples of mistakes, such as:<\/span><\/h3>\n

– Weak academic writing skills.<\/span>
\n– Not following the methodology of scientific research correctly.<\/span>
\n– Inaccurate source documentation.<\/span>
\n– Weak presentation of results and discussion.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop concluded with recommendations, including:<\/span><\/h3>\n

– Be bold in presenting the results, even if they contradict conventional wisdom.<\/span>
\n– If there are few sources on the topic, it is not necessarily a bad thing; it indicates the novelty of the subject and that your study is an important addition to the scientific field.<\/span>
\n– Highlight the results of your study through recommendations for the benefit of others.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop emphasized the importance of following a rigorous scientific approach in writing master’s and doctoral theses to ensure the quality and scientific value of the research.<\/span><\/h3>\n

This workshop is part of the efforts of the University of Baghdad to support postgraduate students and develop their research skills, within the framework of its pursuit of achieving sustainable development goals, especially the goal of “quality education”.<\/span><\/h3>\n
