A defense of the doctoral dissertation titled “The Effect of Spraying with Moringa Extract and Yeast and Fertilizing with Humic Acid on the Growth of Chrysanthemums and their Content of Some Active Compounds” was conducted at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, by the student Sajja Najib Abdul Razzaq from the Department of Horticulture and Garden Engineering.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The study aimed to add humic acid to improve the physical and chemical properties of soil, increase the availability of nutrients, and consequently enhance vegetative and floral growth, positively affecting the production of secondary metabolites. Additionally, spraying with Moringa extract and yeast suspension was utilized to increase plant biomass.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The researcher recommended treating Gerbera plants by adding humic acid at a concentration of 6 ml per liter, or spraying with Moringa leaf extract at an 80% ratio, or spraying with yeast suspension at a concentration of 10 g\/L to achieve a significant increase in vegetative and floral growth indicators, as well as floral production and the content of floral nectar compounds. Two types of study treatments can be used to maximize production further.<\/span><\/h3>\n
