During the cultural season of the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources, and in the presence of the department’s head, Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Majed Nafaweh, along with several department faculty members and graduate students, Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Sharif, the lecturer, presented a seminar entitled “The Effect of Humic Acid on Boron Adsorption and Release in Saline Calcareous Soil.”<\/span><\/h3>\n

In his lecture, he highlighted the importance of studying the role of humic acid in boron adsorption and release in saline calcareous soil, as well as the definite impact of the type of ions, whether mono- or di-ions, on the quality of salts in influencing boron adsorption. It’s not just about the absolute salinity in different soil textures. He also emphasized the significance of expanding experiments to select other chemical compounds and determining their efficiency in extracting ready-made boron by establishing the best correlation coefficients between boron extracted from the soil and that extracted from plants.<\/span><\/h3>\n
