In the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad, a defence of a Master’s thesis titled “A Study of the Impact of Drying Methods on the Quality Characteristics of Some Plants” was conducted by the student Mohammed Hussein Alaa Al-Din from the Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The study aimed to determine the effect of drying methods on certain quality characteristics of dried plants, specifically evaluating the best drying method for dill and parsley to achieve optimal qualitative features for each.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The researcher recommended against using additional time in electric, solar, and microwave drying methods, as there was no significant difference. Instead, the researcher advised using the microwave oven for its shorter drying time and lower drying rate. Additionally, the recommendation included using solar drying for large quantities due to its cost-effectiveness, considering the absence of financial resources as it does not require energy.<\/span><\/h3>\n
