The <\/strong>College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences <\/strong>discusses a PhD thesis on ground beetles<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, <\/strong>discussed a PhD thesis<\/strong> tagged <\/strong>(a phenotypic and taxonomic study of the family of ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) in central Iraq), by Amal Hussein Abdullah\\ Department of Plant Protection. The thesis aimed to conduct a comprehensive survey of species of this family in different central regions of Iraq to collect information related to it and to diagnose the samples using different diagnostic keys and compare them with the preserved species to determine the possibility of recording new species and to design diagnostic keys to isolate families, genera and species of the studied samples with an accurate description of the studied species outwardly and a description male and female ailments, because they are diagnostic and important characteristics in distinguishing species. The researcher recommended conducting a comprehensive survey in Iraq, from north to south in order to obtain sufficient samples of the species recorded in this study, prepare a comprehensive reference list for the group of Iraqi species, conduct biological and environmental studies for the species of the family, and conduct a study of the predatory efficiency of these species because of their great importance in the field of control, in addition, to study self-predation among family species, and conducting taxonomic and diagnostic studies at the molecular level using PCR technology to complement phenotypic studies, with the need to reduce chemical pesticides to preserve this huge diversity in this family.<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
