As part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week organized by the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Sajida Mahdi Eidan delivered a specialized scientific lecture titled “Strategies for Evaluating the Fertility of Artificial Insemination Bulls in Iraq.” The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Amera Mohammed Saleh, and the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Hussam Jasim Hussein, as well as several faculty members and postgraduate students.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The lecture highlighted the enhancement of components of the local entrepreneurship system, as well as the encouragement of those interested in entering the field and spreading the culture of entrepreneurship. There are significant challenges in achieving one of the goals of sustainable development, especially in eliminating hunger and promoting food and nutritional security. This is particularly crucial given the increasing rates of malnutrition, moderate or severe food insecurity, and nutritional deficiencies.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The lecture revealed that the process of evaluating the fertility of artificial insemination bulls in Iraq over a period of 13 years (2010-2023) was conducted through research and scientific studies involving postgraduate students. The studies included analytical studies, methods of preserving sperm by freezing, adding natural and artificial antioxidants to sperm diluents, identifying genes related to bull fertility, and investigating the genetic aspects of these genes in relation to the characteristics of bull sperm. Additionally, the lecture covered the detection of some biological indicators of bull fertility.<\/span><\/h3>\n
