In fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals in education, the University Psychological Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences – University of Baghdad, held a scientific symposium addressing the misbehavior of students at the university. The symposium defined these behaviors, their causes, methods for dealing with them, and ways to address them.

The lecture for this symposium was delivered by Dr. Muthanna Faleh Hamoud, Head of the University Psychological Guidance Unit at the College. At the conclusion of the symposium, recommendations were put forward to limit these negative behaviors.

  2. Enhancing the role of family guidance to build more aware and psychologically supportive families.

  3. Urging governments and institutions to increase investment in mental health services and facilitate access to them.

  4. Strengthening student activities and the spirit of belonging.

  5. Supporting student clubs: Providing material and moral support to (sports, artistic, cultural, and scientific) clubs to make them attractive and effective.

  6. Organizing bonding events: Holding welcome days, trips, and social occasions to facilitate the process of making friends and building a cohesive university community._________________________________________-
