A Defence of a Master’s Thesis on the Sunflower at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
In the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad, a defence of a master’s thesis titled “Control of Fertility Activation in Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L) by Organic Nutrition” was conducted by the student Mariam Ibrahim Hassan from the Department of Field Crop Sciences.
The study aimed to determine the effect of Moringa leaf extract, 600Alga seaweed extract, bamboo residue (Seek), and the biological stimulant BM stsrt on activating fertility ratios and some growth characteristics of three genetic structures of sunflower. The study also examined their impact on yield and quality.
The researcher recommended introducing other genetic varieties and structures of sunflowers with structures that showed a response. Additionally, she suggested studying these organic nutrients and plant extracts as supplementary fertilizers. The researcher proposed increasing the concentrations of the biological stimulant BM stsrt and bamboo residue (Seek).
