Under the slogan “Together Towards a Sustainable Arab Environment,”
the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad,
in cooperation with the Arab League for Environmental Sciences and the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils,
is organizing its First Scientific Conference entitled:
Environmental Pollution in the Arab World: Challenges and Sustainable Solutions.”

The event will be held in Baghdad, Iraq, on January 21–22, 2026.
The conference aims to link scientific research with executive policies to combat pollution, highlight the most prominent environmental challenges in the Arab region, build an Arab network of environmental experts and institutions, enhance dialogue between researchers and decision-makers, and promote the exchange of scientific expertise in the field of environmental protection.
Conference Themes:
  • Sources of environmental pollution

  • Negative effects of pollution

  • Sustainable solutions

  • Environmental policies and governance

  • The role of civil society and the media

Important Dates:
  • Full paper submission opens: October 15, 2025

  • Submission deadline: December 15, 2025

  • Notification of acceptance: January 2, 2026

  • Conference dates: January 21–22, 2026
