The University Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop entitled “Mental Health Threats”, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals in Quality Education. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Muthanna Falahi Hamoud, Head of the Unit, coinciding with World Mental Health Day, and attended by a number of students and staff members.
The workshop addressed the seriousness of mental health threats to individuals, ways to cope with them, and the potential consequences resulting from such threats.
The lecturer emphasized the importance of integrating mental health awareness into educational curricula, strengthening the role of family guidance to build more aware and supportive families, and highlighted the readiness of governments and institutions to increase investment in mental health services and facilitate access to them.
