The workshop included several scientific lectures. Dr. Hammoud delivered a lecture titled “Mental Health: Its Concept, Threats, and Ways to Promote It”, focusing on the factors influencing mental health and methods of preventing psychological disorders through a supportive environment and an aware community.
The event concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably the need to incorporate mental health concepts into educational curricula at various academic levels, organize training and awareness programs for staff and students in educational institutions—especially those serving individuals with disabilities—and enhance cooperation between academic institutions and governmental bodies concerned with mental health and community development.
The workshop emphasized that such initiatives contribute to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), thereby promoting a culture of awareness within society.
