As part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week and within the axis of the Ideas Exhibition, the Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized four discussion sessions presented by a distinguished group of lecturers from the University of Baghdad. The sessions were attended by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Kamel Sabr, along with several faculty members and students from undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

The first lecture, titled ‘Capacity Building Strategy and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals UN SDG17 within Iraq’s Vision 2023,’ was presented by Engineer Abdullah Abdul Ali Jasim from the Electronic Computing Center. The second lecture, titled ‘The Use of Internet of Things and LoRa Data Messaging Networks in Precision Agriculture,’ was delivered by Assistant Professor Saif Al-Din Abdul Amir from the College of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering.

The third lecture was presented by Dr. Marwan Kazem Mohammed and Dr. Mohammed Jafar from the Electronic Computing Center, under the title ‘Practical Training for Students Using the Microsoft Farmbeats Platform.’ The fourth lecture, titled ‘Smart Farming and Digitalisation’ was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Salem Khlef from the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment.
