The Department of Agricultural Economics at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop presented by Prof. Dr. Hasanin Faisal Ghazi, Scientific Assistant at the College of Nursing, Al-Bayan University. The event was held under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Prof. Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Iskandar Hussein Ali. It was attended by faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff of the department and college.
The workshop focused on “Scientific Research: From Idea to Publication – Choosing the Right Journal.” It aimed to introduce participants to the principles of selecting reputable journals, the factors determining journal quality, and methods for verifying the credibility of journals and their inclusion in scientific indexes. The session emphasized that the choice of a journal remains a crucial element throughout a researcher’s academic career, as the dissemination and citation of research largely depend on the journal. The workshop contributed to strengthening scientific research, enhancing research impact, and advancing the fourth Sustainable Development Goal of quality education.
