The Department of Desertification Combat at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences held a farewell ceremony for Professor Dr. Namir Taha Mahdi on the occasion of his retirement. The event was attended by the department’s teaching staff, and the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Osama Kazem Jabara, as well as the department’s head, Professor Dr. Abdulghafour Ibrahim Hamad.
At the beginning of the celebration, the department head delivered a speech, praising the distinguished scientific career of Dr. Namir Taha Mahdi and his contributions throughout the years of service to the college. He acknowledged Dr. Mahdi’s dedicated efforts in both the college and higher education. The department expressed gratitude and best wishes, hoping for a new life filled with health and well-being for Dr. Mahdi.
As a token of appreciation, the department presented a shield to Professor Dr. Namir Taha Mahdi, along with other gifts commemorating the occasion.
