The Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, held its regular General Assembly meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hussam Jasim Hussein Banana, Head of the Department, and attended by Dr. Yaseen Abdul-Salam Hussein, the Department Rapporteur, along with the esteemed faculty members.
The meeting began with a welcoming speech by the Head of the Department, in which he expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff throughout the academic year. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the spirit of teamwork and intensifying efforts to enhance the scientific, research, and service performance of the department, in line with the vision and mission of the College and the University.
The agenda of the meeting included discussions on several scientific and administrative topics, such as the directives of the University Presidency and the College Council, mechanisms for developing academic curricula, promoting high-quality scientific research and publication in reputable international journals, as well as organizing practical and training activities for students in alignment with labor market demands and community needs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Department commended the active participation and fruitful discussions of the faculty members, reaffirming the department’s ongoing support for all initiatives that contribute to its development and strengthen its standing among the scientific departments of the University of Baghdad and other Iraqi universities.
