Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Prof. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and with the guidance and follow-up of the Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Prof. Iskandar Hussein Ali, the Department of Agricultural Economics organized a scientific workshop titled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research.” The workshop was delivered by Prof. Zahra Hadi Mahmood.
The session covered three AI techniques within one integrated workflow:
Accessing Gemini Advanced using the university email and activating higher-order thinking skills within the platform.
Using NotebookLM to accurately interpret, analyze, and synthesize academic sources and references.
Producing the final output by converting the analysis into a presentation using Gamma.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to AI applications in scientific research and highlight their role in saving time and leveraging technological advances.
The workshop concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of enhancing students’ and researchers’ capabilities in AI tools and employing them effectively to support research objectives.
