The Department of Agricultural Economics at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences convened its first session of the Spring 2026 semester. The meeting was presided over by Professor Dr. Iskandar Hussein Ali, Chair of the Department, and attended by the esteemed faculty members.
The session focused on implementing the College Council’s latest directives and finalizing preparations for the start of the new academic term. During the meeting, Dr. Ali emphasized the importance of enhancing the curriculum quality and aligning educational outcomes with the evolving demands of the labor market.
Furthermore, the Council discussed strategies to bolster scientific research by encouraging the publication of applied studies in top-tier, internationally indexed journals. The faculty also reviewed the department’s upcoming participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week, alongside other key items on the academic agenda.
These initiatives are part of the department’s commitment to achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), ensuring a robust and innovative learning environment for all students.
