The Palm Research Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, participated in the Joint Product Exhibition held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameera Mohammed Saleh, along with a number of faculty members, students, and distinguished guests.
The exhibition featured a variety of dates and date-based products, highlighting the significant economic importance of the date palm and its vital role in supporting agro-processing industries and achieving sustainable development.
The exhibition aimed to showcase the promising investment potential of this strategic agricultural resource and to highlight ways to maximize the utilization of secondary palm products, thereby contributing to income diversification, supporting the national economy, and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship. It also served as a scientific and practical platform to bridge academic research with real-world application and to enhance public awareness of the date palm as a renewable national asset.
