The Department of Food Sciences at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized an educational seminar entitled “Insights into Disease Vectors and Vector-Borne Diseases”, presented by Dr. Radhab Abdulhussein Jaad from the College of Science, with the participation of several faculty members and staff.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about disease vectors, their types, and control methods, supporting the Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
Dr. Radhab discussed the types and groups of vectors and highlighted proper prevention measures and vaccinations to avoid vector-borne infections. The seminar recommended maintaining a clean environment and prioritizing personal hygiene as effective means to reduce disease and infection risks.
