Thirty-first meeting of the Deans Committee of Agricultural Colleges at Al-Qadisiya University
The Agriculture and Marshes College at the University of Al-Qadisiya hosted the thirty-first meeting of the Deans Committee of Agricultural College in Iraq, on Saturday, 5/20/2023 at 10 am. in presence of deans of agriculture and the President of The National Council for Accreditation of Colleges of Agriculture Programs. The meeting discussed the mechanism for activating the Bologna Process, and a mechanism was set up to curriculum unification in all Agricultural Colleges, as well as activating committees to assess the scientific and academic reality according to the geographical area, which would identify weaknesses in the Agriculture Colleges in Iraq. The recommendations of meeting will be submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting focused on the importance of the private sector in revitalizing the agriculture in Iraq and finding opportunities, as well as setting up the agricultural council. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Kazem Daili Hassan, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences/ University of Baghdad, Chairman of the Deans Committee of Agriculture, thanked the Dean of Agriculture and Marshes College, Prof. Dr. Hayawi wewa Attia for the good reception and hospitality. He also thanked the deans for incurring the trouble of traveling and their keenness to develop agricultural sector through the development of curricula to achieve requirements of the labor market.
