The Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit and the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Psychology of Human Rights.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Muthanna Falahi Hamoud and attended by a number of the college’s staff and faculty members.
The workshop addressed the concept of the psychology of human rights, potential threats, mechanisms of psychological support, and the relationship between psychology and human rights.
It aimed to introduce the psychological dimensions of human rights, highlight the impact of human rights violations on individuals and their mental health, and identify key threats to human rights.
The workshop recommended organizing broader training seminars in the field of human rights, emphasizing the role of media in raising awareness of such issues, and developing programs to promote and sustain positive human rights practices.
