First-year students in the Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment carried out a practical lesson for the course “Statistics, Experimental Design, and Analysis,” under the supervision of Professor Dr. Haider Abdulrazzaq Baqir. The lesson aimed to familiarize students with the scientific procedures followed in conducting agricultural experiments according to approved statistical designs.
The practical session included an explanation of the mechanisms for preparing and organizing agricultural experiments, starting from selecting the appropriate experimental design, distributing treatments, and collecting and statistically analyzing data. This contributes to enhancing the efficiency of agricultural research and achieving accurate results that can be relied upon in developing the agricultural sector.
The supervising professor emphasized that these practical applications contribute to building students’ scientific skills and enhancing their ability to address agricultural problems using modern research methods, in line with the objectives of sustainable agriculture, which focus on the optimal use of natural resources, increasing agricultural productivity efficiently, and reducing waste and environmental impact.
This activity comes within the framework of the department’s commitment to linking theoretical knowledge with practical application and preparing qualified agricultural engineering cadres capable of supporting sustainable agricultural development and keeping pace with modern scientific advancements in the agricultural field.
