Dalia Mohammed Abdullah from Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources successfully defended her Ph.D. work with the title ” The Effect of Granular and Non-Granular Organic Fertilizers on the Availability of Certain Nutrients and Potato Yield”
The dissertation aimed to study the effect of fertilizer interactions on the availability and uptake of nutrients by the plant across different growth stages.
The researcher recommended incorporating organic fertilization using bone meal, dried blood, and date residues—interacted with a low dose of mineral fertilizer—into integrated fertilization programs, due to its significant superiority in most plant traits and tuber yield.
