As part of the Summer Training Program for students of the Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Qasim Musa Madlol, along with the Summer Training Committee, third-year students have commenced their practical summer training in various institutions across Baghdad Governorate and other Iraqi governorates.
The Summer Training Committee conducted a series of field visits to monitor and evaluate students’ practical training at several governmental institutions. Among these was the Agricultural Mechanization Division of the Agricultural Research Directorate, Ministry of Agriculture, where students received hands-on training in wheat seed cleaning, treatment (seed dressing), and the operation of specialized agricultural machinery used in these processes.
Another visit was made to the Abu Ghraib Research Center, Agricultural Research Directorate, Ministry of Agriculture, where students became acquainted with practical procedures related to wheat cultivation, seed sorting, cleaning, and the separation of impurities using appropriate agricultural techniques and equipment.
The committee also visited trainees at the Al-Waleed Center of the Directorate of Labor and Vocational Training, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as well as the State Company for Automotive and Equipment Industries in Babylon, Ministry of Industry and Minerals. During these visits, the committee followed up on the students’ training progress and identified the main challenges they encountered in their training environments.
