The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad participated in the graduation ceremony of the sixty-sixth session, named the “Toufan Al-Aqsa” session, at the University of Baghdad. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, as well as deans of colleges, faculty members, and graduating students along with their families, in addition to a large number of guests.

In his speech during the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, emphasized working according to integrated stages in the areas of professional development and the development of the research environment in academic institutions. He stressed that the graduation of this group of students carries an additional responsibility for maintaining the academic reputation of this prestigious institution, where scientists, faculty members, researchers, and students have dedicated decades to work, commitment, and scientific creativity.

He explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research works according to integrated stages in the areas of professional development and the development of the research environment to give the necessary momentum to universities, their colleges, branches, departments, and centres in the fields of scientific contribution, the production of scientific research, and positive results in international rankings and databases.

The ceremony included a speech by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, who reviewed the scientific achievements of the University of Baghdad and its colleges in the field of scientific publications and international rankings. The ceremony witnessed the chanting of the university anthem and the awarding of certificates to the graduates.

His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, concluded the graduation ceremony by honoring the top-performing students and reiterated the ministry’s commitment to support graduates who have equipped themselves with the tools of knowledge and completed their academic journey, now poised to enter the workforce and undertake tasks and responsibilities.
