Duaa Emad Ahmed from Department of Agricultural Economics  successfully defended her Ph.D.   work with the title ” An Economic Study of the Determinants of the Transition from Conventional Agriculture to Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Conservation in Iraq for the Period 1990–2021 “
The dissertation aimed to investigate the contribution of the agricultural sector to climate change during the study period, as well as to analyze and measure the impact of the factors affecting the number of emissions generated by the agricultural sector during the study period.
The researcher recommended adopting integrated programs to rationalize the use of chemical fertilizers based on the actual requirements of crops and soil characteristics, while expanding the use of organic and biofertilizers. This would contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving soil quality.

Congratulations to the researcher on this achievement.
