The Department of Field Crop Sciences at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a seminar entitled (The Impact of Farming Methods, Varieties, and Their Interactions on the Yield and Quality of Forage for the Panicum Crop). The seminar was presented by Ph.D. student Hussein Kazhar Shalal in the presence of Professor Dr. Ahmed Hameed Saudi, the head of the Department of Field Crop Sciences, department faculty members, and postgraduate students.

The seminar aimed to emphasize the importance of studying and using the pancum crop as a perennial forage crop that provides high yield and good forage quality to reduce the gap between forage production and consumption. The researcher also reviewed the most significant results obtained from this research, highlighting the potential cultivation of the crop in all Iraqi environments. Additionally, the researcher discussed some studies and the latest findings in this field.

We extend our best wishes to the faculty members and staff of the Department of Field Crop Sciences for continued success and excellence in their distinguished scientific mission.
