The Research Unit of Palms at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a training course in the field of plant tissue culture under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Amera Mohammed Saleh, and under the supervision of Dr. Ali Adel, the unit’s coordinator, with the attendance of several faculty members and students.
The course included various topics, such as lectures and an exam for participants. Assistant Professor Dr. Nahla Hamoudi Hussein delivered a lecture titled “Stages of Tissue Culture and Its Importance,” and Lecturer Dr. Ali Adel Abdul Karim gave a lecture on “Date Palm Propagation by Tissue Culture.” Lecturer Dr. Fadia Fuad Saleh presented a lecture on “Main Methods of Sterilization in Plant Tissue Culture Laboratories,” and Lecturer Sabaa Abdullah Khalil delivered a lecture titled “Media Cultures and Their Types.”
