The Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop titled “Environmental Awareness during the Blessed Month of Ramadan” delivered by the international trainer, Eng. Osama Khalil Ibrahim.

The lecture aimed to elucidate the impact of personal environmental awareness during the holy month and its role in combating climate change. It included 4 main topics: food, water, transportation, and waste management. All of this aligns with the objectives of Goal 13 of the Sustainable Development Goals to combat global climate change.

The workshop recommended incorporating positive environmental habits alongside social and religious practices, pledging to promote and implement them during the blessed month of Ramadan.
