The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized, as part of the activities of the Plant Protection Department during its academic season, a seminar presented by Master’s student Abbas Nama Mahmoud on “Approaches and Incentives for Implementing Integrated Pest Management Addressing Regional and Environmental Issues.” The seminar was chaired by the Head of Graduate Studies, Professor Radi Fadel Al-Jassani.

The aim of the seminar was to address pest management and decision-making at the regional level, focusing on the integrated pest management approach to preserve resources and the role of biological control within integrated management programs. It also discussed the wide range of methods and technologies used in pest control programs, the most important practical components of integrated pest management, and environmental health considerations.

The seminar included scientific discussions attended by several faculty members of the department and graduate students.
