A Workshop Organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Prof. Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Prof. Dr. Iskander Hussein Ali, the Department of Agricultural Economics held a scientific workshop entitled “Economic and Technical Problems of Buffalo Projects after the Water Scarcity,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Zahra Hadi Mahmoud. It was explained that the number of buffaloes has significantly decreased, with Baghdad Governorate ranking first in terms of relative importance. The severe shortage of fodder and water scarcity has impacted the economic return of these projects.
