At the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, a defence of the doctoral dissertation titled (The Effect of Some Sperm Separation Techniques and Synergistic Action of Some Antioxidants in Improving the Quality of Poor Semen Traits of Iraqi Buffalo Bulls), by the student Saif Nadhim Abdulrahman from the Department of Animal Production.

The thesis aimed to demonstrate the effect of using two techniques, Glass wool and Sephadex (first experiment), and two techniques, Swim down and Sil select (second experiment), to separate the sperm of poor-quality semen in Iraqi buffalo bulls on the quality of semen after separation.

The researcher recommended conducting further studies on the use of other techniques for sperm separation to obtain high-quality sperm, as well as using natural and non-natural antioxidants to determine their effect on the semen characteristics of Iraqi buffalo bulls.

Congratulations to the researcher and continued success.
