A Workshop on the Phenomenon of Harassment Organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, the Plant Protection Department, the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening, the Department of Field Crop Sciences, the Department of Food Sciences, and the Ministry of Interior, under the patronage of Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, and supervised by Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Khalek El-Hamawandi, organized an awareness workshop on the phenomenon of harassment against women and female students, presented by the distinguished lecturers Major Dr. Noor Ahmed Abdul Hussein and Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Khalek El-Hamawandi, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students of the college.
The workshop addressed important topics related to the phenomenon of harassment against women in general and female students in particular in public places, and the impact this phenomenon leaves on society. Female students were educated on how to deal with these abnormal cases that society rejects.
