The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences Initiates Dissections with Employers to Enhance the Skills of Graduates from the Plant Protection Department
In pursuit of sustainable development goals through partnerships for the goals, under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Professor Amira Mohammed Saleh, and in the presence of the Head of the Plant Protection Department, Assistant Professor Bashra Sabir Abdul Sada, a meeting was held with some employers from the agricultural sector aiming to enhance cooperation and align educational outputs with the needs of the job market.
During the meeting, fruitful discussions took place regarding the practical realities of the job market in terms of compliance with the regulations of the High Committee for Pesticide Accreditation and the establishment of monitoring teams by some agricultural offices. Additionally, the requirements and needs sought by the employers for graduates from the Plant Protection Department were addressed.
This initiative aims to ensure the compatibility of the skills of Plant Protection Department graduates with the needs of the job market and to enhance their practical experiences in line with the latest international standards.
Several important issues were discussed during the meeting, including curriculum development to incorporate practical skills required in the job market, as well as strengthening communication between the university and employers.
