The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, the Department of Agricultural Machines and Equipment, the Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer, and under the patronage and attendance of Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, and supervised by Dr. Shaimaa Abdelkhalek Elhamawandy, held an awareness workshop on “Excessive Use of Psychotropic Drugs Leading to Addiction,” presented by Dr. Asaad Khalaf Al-Beidhani, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and students of the college.

The workshop addressed the definition of addiction, the harms of excessive use of psychotropic drugs, and its future effects, leading to addiction and thereby significantly impacting individuals and society.
