A defense of a Doctoral Dissertation at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences about the Grape Crop
At the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, a defense of the doctoral dissertation titled ‘The Effect of Bacterial Biofertilizer, Mycorrhiza, Vermicompost, and NPK Foliar Spray on Some Growth and Productivity Traits of Grapevine (Halwani Cultivar)’ was conducted by the student Hussein Ali Habib from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening.
The thesis aimed to enhance vegetative growth, strengthen trees, and increase and improve yield quantity and quality. The researcher recommended promoting the use of biofertilizers for their positive effects on vegetative and productive growth traits, as well as utilizing vermicompost for its nutrient content and organic acids, surpassing traditional fertilizers. Finally, further studies were recommended regarding the use of other biofertilizers with different concentrations of mineral fertilizer NPK and their effects on vegetative growth and yield of fruit trees, especially grapes.
Congratulations to the researcher and wishes for continued success
