Defending a Doctoral Dissertation on the Guidance System and Activating the Leadership Approach for Agricultural Extension System in the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
A defense of the doctoral dissertation titled “Building a Model to Activate the Collaborative Leadership Approach for Agricultural Extension System in Iraq” was conducted at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, by the student Ahmad Thawaini Hadoum from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer.
The study aimed to identify the current practices of managers in implementing collaborative leadership in the agricultural extension system in Iraq from the perspective of extension workers, as well as to diagnose the obstacles hindering managers from practicing collaborative leadership in the agricultural extension system in Iraq.
The researcher recommended focusing on areas for building a model to activate the collaborative leadership approach for the agricultural extension system and directing attention to and nurturing the practice of collaborative leadership. Additionally, it was suggested to select extension leaders from conscientious leadership who believe in the importance of collaborative leadership and its principles in agricultural extension work.
