A Seminar Organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
To achieve the goals of sustainable development in quality education, the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar as part of the activities of the Plant Protection Department during its cultural season. The seminar was presented by Master’s student Sajja Nama Ibrahim, titled “Evaluation of the Preventive Role of Some Nanoparticles and Saccharine in Inducing Systemic Resistance of Bean Plants against Fusarium oxysporum Fungus.”
Under the supervision of Dr. Alaa Khudair Hassan, the head of the graduate studies department in the Plant Protection Department, Professor Dr. Radi Fadel Al-Jasani chaired the panel, with the presence of the department head Assistant Professor Dr. Bushra Sabir Abdul Sada. During the session, the student presented the study’s objectives as follows:
Providing a method of resistance against the root rot and wilting of bean plants using environmentally safe materials, which is one of the objectives of sustainable agriculture to reduce the risks of disease infection on beans and minimize resulting losses. Also, studying the effectiveness of control factors in combating the causative agent of the disease.
The panel included scientific discussions with the attendance of several faculty members in the department and graduate students.
