Within the requirements of the statistics and design and analysis of experiments course for students of the year-two of the Department of Field Crop Sciences, and with the aim of activating the practical aspect and achieving the objectives of quality education for sustainable development, Dr. Ahmed Hameed Saudi, head of the Department of Field Crops, delivered a practical lecture to undergraduate students in the laboratories of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences. During the lecture, he explained the methods of applying experiments in the laboratory and field using experimental designs, as well as clarifying the importance of factorial experiments and the design of split-plot designs (SPD), along with how to allocate treatments, apply replications, and sample from experimental units.
