During the cultural season of the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources , with the presence of the department head, Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Majid Nafawah, along with several department faculty members and graduate students, Master’s student Nadia Mahdi Ismail conducted a seminar entitled “Mini-Tillage (Lowest)”.

The study aimed to adopt the short tillage pattern, which is carried out using simple plowing machinery, to preserve soil from water and wind erosion, as well as to maintain residues of the previous crop in the soil. Additionally, it offers other benefits such as reducing production costs by saving fuel, labor, and mechanization, making it a desirable alternative to traditional plowing.
