At the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, a defense of the master’s thesis titled “Taxonomic and Morphological Study of the Sweat Bee Family from Different Regions of Iraq” was conducted by the student Sajja Amer Ahmed from the Plant Protection Department.
The study aimed to conduct a comprehensive survey of the species of this family from various regions of Iraq, as well as to design diagnostic keys to isolate the genera and species for the studied specimens.
The researcher recommended conducting comprehensive survey studies in the regions of Iraq to identify other unrecorded species and to conduct biological and ecological studies of the family’s species in Iraq due to the lack of such studies on this group of bees.
