At the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, a doctoral defense was held for the dissertation titled “Developing the Effectiveness of Using Information and Communication Technology in Agricultural Extension/Iraq” by the student Haider Muslim Hamza from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer.

The study aimed to describe the current state of using information and communication technology in agricultural extension work and to diagnose the reasons related to the limited use of such technology. It also sought to develop a proposed vision to enhance the effectiveness of technology use.

The researcher recommended creating cultural awareness among workers in the agricultural extension system to widely adopt information and communication technology in their work. Additionally, he suggested providing an adequate number of informational devices and equipment in all departments of the Agricultural Extension and Training Directorate.
