The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences Held a Symposium Titled “The Phenomenon of Human Trafficking”
In line with the university’s role in addressing negative phenomena in society and under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Amira Mohammed Saleh, and supervised by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Prof. Dr. Iskandar Hussein Ali, the Department of Agricultural Economics held a symposium titled ‘The Phenomenon of Human Trafficking’. The seminars were presented by Assistant Prof. Dr. Aida Fawzi Ahmed and Dr. Abha Ali Hamdan from the Ministry of Health. The symposium addressed the definition of this dangerous phenomenon, the forms and images it can take, the economic and social factors that cause it, and how to confront it. It also discussed the Iraqi laws that limit and criminalize this phenomenon to prevent its spread.
