A defense of the master’s thesis titled “Problems Facing the Agricultural Extension and Training Department in Implementing Extension Activities and Proposed Solutions” was held at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad. The thesis, authored by Noor Al-Huda Talal Ramadan from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Technology Transfer, aimed to identify the problems faced by the Agricultural Extension and Training Department in implementing extension activities. It sought to diagnose these problems and determine ways to address them.
The researcher recommended providing the necessary financial allocations for implementing extension activities, as they are a primary contributor to advancing the agricultural sector, which enhances and improves the country’s economy. She also suggested strengthening cooperation between scientific research centers and the Agricultural Extension and Training Department, providing agricultural equipment, and increasing professional and scientific training for extension workers.
