In the context of volunteer and environmental work, and in pursuit of a greener Iraq and sustainable environment, the efforts of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad continue. This effort is represented by Dr. Afak Ibrahim Jumaa, a faculty member in our college, in the Department of Desertification Combat. She is the owner of a project to plant one million trees in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, extending the cooperation to various government and community entities to maximize the production of seedlings, trees, and shrubs for planting and afforestation in different areas.
On this occasion, the President of the Kidney Diseases Association, Professor Dr. Ali Al-Saadi, presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Afak, acknowledging her significant efforts in promoting afforestation culture throughout the country and in the capital, Baghdad, through the achievement of her national project’s goals and the planting of one million trees in the country in cooperation with the respected relevant ministries.
