A workshop organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences on Selenium.
To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in quality education, and within the cultural season of the Department of Animal Production, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, the Department of Animal Production organized a workshop titled “The Effect of Selenium on the Productive and Reproductive Performance in Sheep.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Muad Hassani Mahmoud, with the attendance of the Head of the Animal Production Department, Professor Dr. Hossam Jassem Hussein, several faculty members, and postgraduate students from the department.
The workshop aimed to introduce selenium and its vital and active role in the productive and reproductive performance of sheep, in addition to raising awareness of the risks associated with its use in high doses.
The workshop recommended the necessity of following proper scientific methods in using the recommended doses when needed.
