The Department of Plant Protection at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, organized a training course on “Isolation, Identification, and Preservation of Plant Pathogens” in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, aiming to achieve one of the sustainable development goals (Quality Education). The course was presented by Professors Halima Zghair Al-Bahadli, Huriya Hussein Al-Jubouri, Mina Walid Hatim, and Iman Khalil Abdul-Karim, with the attendance of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Bushra Sabir Abdul-Sada, as well as faculty members and students from the department.

The course aimed to introduce the latest methods for isolating and preserving plant disease pathogens.

Several recommendations emerged from the course, including the adoption of a modern and integrated approach to isolating and preserving plant disease pathogens. A large number of participants from various departments affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture attended the course, along with faculty members, graduate students, and staff from different sections of the college. Certificates of participation were distributed to the attendees at the end of the course.
